Detailed 13 Days Rwanda and Uganda Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will be picked by our representative from the airport/hotel and will be given a briefing about the 13 Days Rwanda and Uganda Safari. You will then be transferred by road to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Depending on the arrival time, you may have an optional nature walk around Gisakura tea estates.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk in the forest
You will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing ahead of chimpanzee tracking. You will track chimpanzees and will have an opportunity to see other primates including the golden monkey, troops of Angola colobus, vervet monkey, silver monkey and the Olive baboon among others. You will also spot several bird species like the great blue turaco; the long tailed blue bird and the paradise fly catcher among others.
You will enjoy a canopy walk in the afternoon.

Day 3: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Akagaera National Park by orad which is Rwanda’s biggest game conservation. You will arrive in the afternoon and you will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ihema on arrival, in which you will have an opportunity to see several animals on the banks of the Lake. You will be taken to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay after.

Day 4: Game drives in the park
You will start the day with an early morning game drive through the park in search of lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Masai Giraffe and many others.
You will have a lunch break to enjoy your packed/picnic lunch and you will have another game drive in the afternoon after in search of more animals including Gazelles, Impala, Baboons, Oribi, Butchel’s zebra, Topi, Bush baby, Leopard and bushbuck, Elands. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, the home of mountain gorillas. You will be taken through the Rwanda-Uganda border and the guides will guide you through the process.
You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the hills and vegetation enroute. You will arrive in the afternoon and will relax by the lodge awaiting trekking in the morning.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, transfer to the park Headquarters in which you will be briefed about gorilla trekking. Bwindi National Park is renowned for its impressive mountain gorillas, although it is unpredictable for how long you will track before finding them since it all depends on their movement.
You will be availed with Walking sticks by the park rangers. Visitors are allowed to spend only one hour with the gorillas for the purpose of conservation.
The ranger guide will brief you on how to conduct yourself while in the presence of the gentle giants. In the evening, proceed to the village for a cultural walk to interact with the local people and participate in captivating traditional performances.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha sector. You will have lunch at the lodge and will enjoy a boat ride on Kazinga channel in the afternoon for about one to two hours and will have an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles and several birds. You will have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 8: Game Drives through the park
You will get back early morning for a game drive through the park in search of animals like the Elephant, lions, Buffaloes, bushbucks, and Uganda Kob, Antelopes, Warthogs, among others. You will have lunch and will have another game drive in the afternoon.

Day 9: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track in search for Africa Lions, Leopards, and herds of Elephants and Buffaloes among others and proceed to Kibale National Park after.
You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges enroute. On arrival, you will have lunch and relax by the lodge.

Day 10: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi nature walk
After breakfast, will be taken to the park headquarters for a briefing ahead of the chimpanzee tracking.
You will then embark on primates viewing in the forest spending half a day searching for chimpazees and other primates including Phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blue, Red-tailed and Grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. You will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will have a visit to Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site in which you will also encounter beautiful flora and fauna. This walk is excellent for viewing different bird species like the Great blue Turacco, Rwenzori Turaco, Narina Trogon, and little Bulbul. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest camp
Day 11: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park reaching in the evening. The park is a home to over 76 species of mammals and 451 birds.
You will have a chance to see the big five and will enjoy a boat cruise on the calm Victoria Nile. You will have lunch enroute. On arrival you will rest by the lodge.
Dinner and Overnight stay at Kabalega Resort
Day 12: Game Drives and Boat trip
Embark on a game drive early morning on the northern bank of the river Nile. Expect to view elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds during the game drive.
The guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.
After lunch, go for a boat ride upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls where you will see the river Nile, one of the world’s longest rivers crushing through a narrow gorge and forming the magnificent Murchison falls.
You will also view the hippos and crocodiles. You may also spot many birds like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.
Dinner and overnight stay at Twinga Safari Lodge
Day 13: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for departure.

We have luxury latest Land cruisers each driven by professionally trained driver guides and fuel. They have pop-up roofs for proper game viewing and photography. They come with a small fridge for cooling your drinking water while on safari (which is always included while In the Vehicle).
