Detailed day by day 7 Days Uganda Gorillas and Masai Mara Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

From either Entebbe or Kampala, your safari driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park. This long journey to the southwestern part of Uganda is a thrilling way to discover the natural sceneries and beauty of Uganda that give it bragging rights as the pearl of Arica. You will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photos and lunch in Mbarara town. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will arrive in the late afternoon with a stunning view of Kigezi highlands.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and community visit

Today enjoy the long awaited gorilla trekking! start your day early in the morning with a sumptuous breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, head for a short briefing where you will be instructed with the dos and don’ts while trekking gorillas in the forest. After the briefing session, grab your trekking stick and follow your guide to the forest to search for mountain gorillas.

The trek can last anywhere between 2 to 5 hours, and you are allowed a maximum of 1 full hour to observe the mountain gorillas in the wild. After locating them enjoy watching them as you take photos and videos. When the allocated time with gorillas elapses, start your trek back to the visitors center where you will receive your certificate of participation.

Drive back to your lodge for a refreshing meal before heading out for another exciting experience. Later in the afternoon, embark on a cultural experience to the Batwa community. Visit their homes and enjoy their traditional dance, meals, and artwork.

Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe or Kampala

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart your lodge and embark on a transfer back to Entebbe or Kampala. Arrive in the late afternoon and proceed to your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly to Kenya and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya

Wake up and have breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, depart your hotel and drive to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight to Kenya. Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will be received by your Kenya Driver guide, who then transfers you to Masai Mara National Park. Arrive in Masai Mara in the afternoon and proceed with a drive to your booked lodge or safari camp.

During your game drive expect to encounter different wildlife species including lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, crocodiles, zebrass, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, gazelles, and wildebeest among others.
